Our school day

Every day at Bolton Brow is filled with fun and learning. Here’s an overview of what a normal school day looks like.

Reception to Year 6 

  • 08.45 - School doors open

  • 08:45 - 12:00 - AM session reception & key stage 1

  • 08:45 - 12:10 - AM session key stage 2

  • 10:45 - 11:00 - Key stage 1 and 2 playtime

  • 12:00 - 13:00 - Early years and key stage 1 lunchtime

  • 12:10 - 13:00 - Key stage 2 lunchtime

  • 13:00 - 15:15 - PM session for all

  • 15:15 - End of school day

Nursery

  • 08.45 - Doors open

  • 08:45 - 11:45 - AM session

  • 12:15 - 15:15 - PM session, including lunch

This is our timetable on a typical day. It is subject to change occasionally to allow for different learning activities, such as for school trips. We will inform parents/carers of any upcoming events or changes.

From reception onwards, children are expected to attend school from 8.45am-3.15pm, which is 32.5 hours per week. Nursery places can be part or full time and full or half days.

Wrap around care

Childcare is available on site from 07.30 - 18:00 at our before and after school clubs.
